Virtual Reality or VR, takes the viewer to a different environment altogether. Usually, a wearable device (for eg. a VR Headset) that creates an environment around you with a 3D video, special effects and maybe audio as well. AR/VR
Augment Reality or AR, as it is called, augments real or virtual experiences with an object that is being viewed. This is made possible through a computer, a hand-held or worn electronic device. UI & UX
The roles of an interface designer and an experience designer are very different but are often practiced together. Our teams have matured several notches above this differentiation, which is evident in our work (click here) and is presented on this site. An experience engineer’s role is to think about the muscle memory, logical next click, emotional connect etc. Whereas an interface designer implements the inputs provided by the experience engineer. We also sometimes use an independent designer for building interactivity. We borrow them from the Animation team that follows in the next section.
